Itinerary

Day 1 – June 3, 2025 | Depart for London

The time has come for our UK Adventure! Board our coach at one of our pre-selected pickup locations this afternoon for Pearson International Airport. Here we will board our overnight flight from Toronto to London, England!

 

Day 2 – June 4, 2025 | Arrival and Cambridge (B,D)

On arrival in London this morning, our local guide will await to begin our incredible journey through England and North Wales. From the airport we travel directly to Cambridge to learn about the history, culture and the world-changing discoveries that makes Cambridge home to more Nobel Prize winners than any other city. We embark on a ‘Punt’ along the River Cam, a long, wooden boat which glides through water, steered by a metal pole. Tonight, we’ll check in to our hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner as a group!

 

Day 3 – June 5, 2025 | York (B, D)

Leaving Cambridge, we’ll travel north to York. Upon arrival, a local guide will lead you on a walking tour of this beautiful & historic walled city. You will be awestruck by York Minster Cathedral with its stunning Gothic architecture as you meander through the cobbled streets and overhanging buildings. There will be free time to discover all the city has to offer, including dungeons, Viking museums, artisan shops & markets. Tonight, we have an included dinner at our hotel.

 

Day 4 – June 6, 2025 | Yorkshire Moors (B, L)

The North York Moors is a special place, forged by nature, and shaped over generations with a rich history. We’ll travel to the coastal town of Whitby and enjoy lunch at one of the most renowned fish & chip spots in the North of England. Afterwards, we step back in time as we board the North Yorkshire Moors Rail to experience the age of steam as we sit back and enjoy beautiful vistas of the Moors National Park. Tonight is a free evening to explore and enjoy dinner on your own!

 

Day 5 – June 7, 2025 | Liverpool and Chester (B)

This morning, we depart for Liverpool – the UNESCO City of Music. On arrival, a local guide will take us on a panoramic tour showcasing the fabulous history and architecture of Liverpool, including a visit to the stunning Liverpool Cathedral, Royal Albert Dock, Pier Head and the Cavern Club. Afterwards, we get our Fab Four fix with a visit to the Beatles’ Story! We then make our way to the city of Chester, where we will check into our home for the next three nights.

 

Day 6 – June 8, 2025 | Llandudno and Llangollen (B)

This morning, we travel across the border into North Wales. We’ll make our way to the picturesque Llangollen Wharf, where we board our canal boat, the Thomas Telford. Enjoy a cruise through the stunning Dee Valley while your skipper entertains you with the history, local knowledge and stories along the way. During our cruise enjoy a delicious included Afternoon Tea. This evening is at leisure in the medieval city of Chester, full of quaint shops, restaurants and historic British pubs.

 

Day 7 – June 9, 2025 – Snowdonia (B, D)

This morning, we travel back to Wales and Snowdonia, home to breathtaking peaks, spectacular lakes, rich history, and a vibrant and unique culture. We make our way through this scenic area including Snowdonia National Park, to see Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. Tonight, we dine on traditional Welsh fayre in a local pub before attending a very special Male Choir Rehearsal – this will be a most memorable evening.

 

Day 8 – June 10, 2025 | Stratford-upon-Avon (B, D)

After breakfast we travel south to Warwickshire, and the historic city of Stratford-upon-Avon. We start with a walking tour which introduces us to more than 800 years of history, seeing many buildings that have stood the test of time and would have been familiar to Shakespeare himself. We visit Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall, where we are immersed into 16th century Stratford and sit in the very room that he sat as a pupil in the 1570’s. Then we enjoy an informative session at Judith’s Gin, where we learn about and sample the award-winning Shakespeare Distillery spirits. Tonight, we dine at our hotel.

 

Day 9 – June 11, 2025 | Bath (B)

Our day is spent in the county of Somerset, with a visit to the beautiful city of Bath. Here we have a coach and walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can see the Roman Baths dating back to 43AD, the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge. Afterwards, enjoy a tour of Bath Abbey, with magnificent stained-glass windows, columns of honey- gold stone and some of the finest fan vaulting in the world. This all creates an extraordinary experience of light and space. Tonight, Stratford is yours to explore at leisure.

 

Day 10 – June 12, 2025 | Cotswolds and Oxford (B)

Making our way through the Cotswolds, we will stop in a quintessentially English village before reaching the ‘City of Dreaming Spires,’ Oxford, where you will have free time to explore the city on your own. You may wish to visit the University and the Bodleian Library or look for that perfect keepsake in one of the many independent shops. Later we arrive in the nation’s capital, London, where we will spend our final 2 nights. This evening is at leisure.

 

Day 11 – June 13, 2025 | London (B, D)

Today is our final day in the UK! The full day is yours to explore all London has to offer using your Hop On/Hop Off pass. Tonight, there will be a farewell dinner at a local London Pub.

 

Day 12 – June 14, 2025 | Depart for Home (B)

Your tour ends this morning after a hearty English breakfast. We’ll be transported to the airport this morning to board our flight home. On arrival in Toronto, our coach will await us to return us to our original pickup locations!

Please note that this is an active tour. We suggest you are able to: Walk 4-5 km over the course of a day with no problem, partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour (covering up to 3km), handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills without assistance and climb two flights of stairs with ease. This tour is not suitable for those with mobility constraints. Seat selection on flights is not available.
