Toronto Blue Jays – Washington D.C. Roadtrip

It’s time for our annual Toronto Blue Jays road trip, where we will cross another ballpark off of the bucket list! This year we’ll take our coach to Washington D.C. to watch the Blue Jays take on the Nationals in a three game series. We’ll stay at the Hampton Inn Washington D.C. Navy Yard, directly across the street from the Nationals ballpark and only a short walk or taxi from many of the popular tourist sites and monuments in the American capital. We will also include a stop on our way down in Cooperstown, NY to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame. This tour includes breakfast daily, one group dinner, lower level seats for three Blue Jays games at Nationals Park, a guided tour of Washington D.C. and Nationals Park, deluxe highway motor coach transportation throughout and a Cardinal/Lakeshore Tour Director. Please note that this is a fairly active tour which will require some walking and stairs within the ballpark, so it is not recommended for those with mobility constraints.

Day One | Thursday May 2, 2024 – Depart to Cooperstown

Today we will board the coach and depart from our pre-selected pickup points to make our way to Cooperstown, NY. There will be comfort stops along the way which will include lunch (on own). Upon arrival in Cooperstown we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. We will check into the Holiday Inn Express for one night and have an included dinner at a local restaurant tonight to get to know the group for the week ahead!

Day Two | Friday May 3, 2024 – Cooperstown to Washington D.C. (B)

Kickstart your day with breakfast at the hotel. This morning we’ll depart Cooperstown and make our way to Washington D.C. Today we will have our first Blue Jays game of the weekend (exact game time TBD)! Upon arrival we will check in to the Hampton Inn Navy Yard (only steps away from the ballpark) for the next 3 nights. Due to our hotels close proximity to Nationals Park, we will not require a bus getting to the games this weekend, so all guests must be able to walk across the street and navigate the stairs in the ballpark on their own accord!

Day Three | Saturday May 4, 2024 – Washington D.C. (B)

After an included breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart for a guided walking tour of Nationals Park and get a peak behind the curtain of the facilities of the 2019 World Series Champion Nationals. After our tour we will have our second Blue Jays game of the weekend (exact game time TBD). The remainder of the day will be at leisure to explore Washington on your own!

Day Four | Sunday May 5, 2024 – Washington D.C. (B, D)

After breakfast at the hotel this morning, we will depart for a city tour (optional) to see the highlights of Washington D.C. – America’s Capital. Following our morning tour, we will have our final Blue Jays game (exact game time TBD). After the game today, we will enjoy an included group dinner and have the rest of the evening on our own to enjoy our last night in Washington!

Day Five | Monday May 6, 2024 – Depart Washington D.C. for Home (B)

After our breakfast at the hotel this morning, we will depart for home making rest stops along the way. We will return to our original pickup locations and bid new and old friends farewell!
