Calling all gardening enthusiasts or just plain plant lovers to come with us to one of Ontario’s premier horticultural gardens, Whistling Gardens, in Norfolk County.
“Live your best life—Live the garden life” is the motto around here. This provincial, national, and international award-winning garden has over 20 acres of gardens displaying over 4,500 different plants including the rarest tree in the world, the Baishan Fir. On our guided tour of the Whistling Gardens we’ll see 1000’s of August blooms including Red Hot Poker, Foxtail Lily, Blanket Flower, Echinacea, Aruncus, Lilies, and more as well as experience a Musical Fountain Show. Inspired by the design of the Palace of Versailles it has over 100 water jets on three 90-foot staircases with music specially written for the fountain program. After our included catered lunch, we’ll have time to visit the Garden Centre or explore on your own more of the gardens.
