Caribbean Cruise (From New York City)

Find your own slice of paradise onboard Norwegian Getaway on this 14 day winter getaway on a Caribbean cruise. This cruise starts and finishes in New York City and we’ll get you there and back by motor coach! This cruise visits 8 different ports including: New York City, the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, St. John’s in Antigua, St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, San Juan in Puerto Rico and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic! Build your first-ever pink sandcastle in Bermuda at Horseshoe Bay Beach, tour the dramatic Crystal Caves or play a round at the famous Port Royal Golf Course. Unwind on a scenic catamaran ride in St. Thomas while sailing to Turtle Cove and snorkel with green sea turtles. In Puerto Plata, uncover the local history at the 16th century Fortaleza San Felipe or snorkel among colourful coral reefs off of Dorado Beach. All meals are included onboard the Caribbean cruise. This tour also includes a pre-cruise night in New York City along with the services of a Cardinal/Lakeshore Tour Director.

Day 1 | April 6, 2024 – Home to New York City

Meet the coach at one of our pre-determined pickup locations this morning. This is a travelling day with scheduled comfort breaks. We plan to arrive in New York City in the late afternoon/early evening. Tonight you will have free time for dinner on your own!

Day 2 | April 7, 2024 – New York City/Embarkation (B, L, D)

This morning we will depart for a driving tour of New York City taking in the highlights including Times Square, Central Park, Wall Street and more! This afternoon we will board our ship – the Norwegian Getaway where we will spend the next 12 nights. Be sure to head to the top deck at 4PM for stunning NYC skyline views as we set sail!

Day 3 | April 8, 2024 – At Sea (B, L, D)

Good morning! Today will be our first full day on the Caribbean cruise. All meals are included on board and today is a day at sea where you can take in the amenities of the ship and relax. From bow to stern, our ship has enough onboard activities to fill every minute of your day!

Day 4 | April 9, 2024 – Royal Navy Dockyard, Bermuda (B, L, D)

Located at the tip of Bermuda’s West End, Royal Naval Dockyard is home to exceptional shopping and pristine beaches. The beautifully restored Royal Navy Dockyards provide quaint boutique, a crafts market and fascinating maritime museum. Don’t miss the chance to try out one of the many water sports offered in and around this gorgeous harbour. In Port from 9AM to 4PM

Day 5 | April 10, 2024 – At Sea (B, L, D)

This morning we have another day at sea as we make our way south to the stunning Caribbean! Perhaps opt to visit the spa on board or try your luck at the casino! There will be plenty of entertainment all day to keep you busy!

Day 6 | April 11, 2024 – Tortola, British Virgin Islands (B, L, D)

Welcome to the British Virgin Islands! This exotic, peaceful island is home to both towering mahogany trees and white-sand beaches. A great spot for birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighbouring islands. The more adventurous may opt to enjoy a hike up Sage Mountain with an incredible viewpoint if the island! In Port from 12PM to 8PM

Day 7 | April 12, 2024 – Phillipsburg, St. Maarten (B, L, D)

With an area of only 37 square miles, the island of St. Maarten is the smallest landmass in the world to be divided between two governments. The southern Dutch half offers casinos, duty-free shopping and island culture. The French half is all subdued sophistication. Opt to take an excursion or just relax on the beach today! In Port from 8AM to 5PM

Day 8 | April 13, 2024 – St. John’s, Antigua (B, L, D)

Bask in the grand sight of the city’s skyline, dominated by the white baroque towers of St. John’s Cathedral. Sample local cuisines, visit the Botanical Garden, witness the magnificent Antigua Lighthouse, the historical Fort James and much more as you discover this grand city. In Port from 8AM to 5PM

Day 9 | April 14, 2024 – St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (B, L, D)

The town of Charlotte Amalie has one of the most breathtaking harbours in the world. Once home to pirates of long ago, today visitors find treasures of a different kind, for now beautiful beaches and bountiful duty-free shopping are truly its claim to fame. In Port from 7AM to 4PM

Day 10 | April 15, 2024 – San Juan, Puerto Rico (B, L, D)

Founded in 1521, San Juan’s picturesque cobblestone streets, plazas and chapels reflect its Spanish heritage. But the second oldest city in the Americas also boasts fine beaches, lush rainforests, verdant mountainsides, imposing forts and a lovely tropical climate. In Port from 7AM to 3PM

Day 11 | April 16, 2024 – Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (B, L, D)

Puerto Plata is the ninth largest city in the Dominican Republic. For spectacular city views, take a ride up the Pico Isabel de Torres mountain which stands over 2,600 feet high. History buff? Visit Fortaleza San Felipe, which was built in the 16th century and served as a prison under the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo. Or head to the Amber Museum, a museum filled with a unique collection of valuable Dominican amber! In Port from 7AM to 3PM

Day 12 &13 | April 17-18, 2024 – At Sea (B, L, D)

The final two days of the Caribbean cruise we’re making our way back North to New York City. Enjoy incredible cuisine and endless entertainment onboard the ship and just relax before our bus ride home from New York City!

Day 14 | April 19, 2024 – New York to Home (B)

This morning we will disembark in Manhattan where our coach will be waiting to begin our journey home. Our motor coach will return you to your original pickup locations and we will bid new and old friends farewell!
