With our base in these two exceptional locations, you can relax, settle in, and explore without the hassle of constantly moving accommodations, creating a more leisurely and immersive journey to savour the wonders of Italy. In Rome, we’ll uncover iconic landmarks like the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. We’ll immerse ourselves in the wonders of the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica. In the picturesque Amalfi Coast, we’ll sail along its stunning shores and visit historic coastal villages. Discover the charm of Sorrento, explore a pasta factory, and witness traditional mozzarella cheese-making. Delight in a captivating cruise to enchanting Capri with its hilltop gardens and exquisite cuisine. Journey to the ruins of Pompeii and indulge in the famed local wine. With so many great inclusions, this tour will be sure to show you the best of Italy. A valid Canadian Passport is required for this tour.

* Please note that this is an active tour and may involve long days. We suggest you are able to: Walk 4-5 km over the course of a day with no problem, can partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour, covering up to 3km (with included breaks), handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance and climb two flights of stairs with ease.

All prices are in Canadian Dollars and taxes of approximately $700 are included in the price. A deposit of $500 is due at the time of booking. Final payment will be due by June 14, 2024 at the latest. Prices are subject to change. Cancellations received before June 14, 2024 will result in a loss of all deposits. Cancellations received June 14, 2024 or later are 100% non-refundable. Travel insurance is highly recommended and available in office. A valid Canadian Passport is required for this tour.

Day 1 – Friday, August 23, 2024 | Overnight Flight

The time has come for our Italian adventure! Board our coach to Toronto Pearson International Airport at your pre-selected pickup location this afternoon or meet at the airport! From Toronto, we will take an overnight flight to Rome, Italy!

Day 2 – Saturday, August 24, 2024 Rome, Italy (D)

Your tour opens in the “Eternal City” of Rome! We will arrive in Rome this morning and transfer to our hotel. You will have the afternoon at leisure to get acquainted with the area around our hotel or rest up after a long journey. Tonight, you will join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner celebrating the start of your Italian journey.

Day 3 – Sunday, August 25, 2024 | Rome (B)

On a locally guided tour of classical Rome, walk over cobblestone streets and weathered passageways to discover famous sights such as the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Then, tread in the footsteps of ancient gladiators during an in-depth visit of the Colosseum. The evening will be yours at leisure. Perhaps you’ll stroll to the top of the Spanish Steps for views of the city’s skyline or soak in the local life from a cozy cafe!

Day 4: Monday, August 26, 2024 | Rome (B)

This morning, enjoy a visit to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica and take in world-renowned wonders such as the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s mural of The Last Judgment. Then, make the most of a free afternoon in Italy’s capital city. Perhaps you will join an optional food tour dinner and taste your way around Rome.

Day 5 – Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Rome – Montecassino – Amalfi Coast (B, D)

After breakfast we’ll depart for the Amalfi Coast, an iconic coastline of rocky beaches and towering cliffs. En route, make a stop at the Benedictine monastery of Montecassino, perched on a mountaintop with an ornate chapel and courtyards. In the afternoon, settle into the Amalfi Coast – your home for the next 5 nights. Before gathering for dinner, take some time to explore your hotel, perched in a scenic location above the coastline.

Day 6 – Wednesday, August 28, 2024 |  Amalfi Coast Excursion (B)

Sail along the stunning Amalfi Coast, pausing in Amalfi. A former trading hub, Amalfi is now a quiet coastal town of historic landmarks and a black-and-white marble cathedral. Explore on your own before continuing to Positano with its pastel-coloured houses and pebbly beaches. Spend time in this legendary locale, browsing the posh boutiques or resting along the beach before returning to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 7 – Thursday, August 29, 2024 | Amalfi Coast – Sorrento (B, D)

Begin your day with a visit to a pasta factory artfully producing this national staple with traditional techniques. Then, it’s on to the charming resort town of Sorrento. Wander through its narrow streets, peeking into the peaceful cloister of St. Francis Church or sampling some gelato made with local lemons. This afternoon, visit a local farm and see how mozzarella cheese is still made by hand. Get a taste of the product at a farm-to-table dinner capped with homemade limoncello before returning to your hotel in the late evening. You’ll be sure to sleep well tonight!

Day 8 – Friday, August 30, 2024 | Amalfi Coast – Capri (B)

Spend the day exploring a Mediterranean paradise on the sparkling Bay of Naples. Embark from the port of Salerno and delight in a cruise to the wonderful Isle of Capri. Sail past the hill towns along the Amalfi Coast, passing colourful homes, lush gardens and architectural marvels. Take the funicular up to Capri village. Here, you’ll take a guided walking tour where you’ll get to the picturesque hilltop botanical gardens, Giardini di Augusto. Head to one of the floral-lined terraces to see enchanting panorama views, including the spectacular Faraglioni rocks. Then, savour lunch in a local restaurant – your opportunity to enjoy a Caprese salad! Spend some free time to soak in Capri’s charm. Browse elegant designer shops or sip a coffee in the Piazza and simply watch the world go by. A special ride along the funicular takes you back toward the Marina Grande to board your boat for the return to the mainland.

Day 9 – Saturday, August 31, 2024 | Amalfi Coast – Pompeii (B, L, D)

This morning experience the eerily preserved ruins of Pompeii your way. You’ll have the choice to either join a local guide for an in-depth tour of Pompeii’s best-known monuments OR venture further afield to discover the hidden corners of this vast archeological site. Then, pause at a local winery to savour the area’s famous Lacryma Christi wine and enjoy a typical lunch. After some free time, join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner to reminisce on fond memories of our Italian getaway.

Day 10 – Sunday, September 1, 2024 | Amalfi Coast – Home (B)

After breakfast this morning, our coach will depart for the Naples airport where we’ll board our flight home! Upon arrival in Toronto, our coach will be waiting to return us to our original pickup points and bid us farewell with fond memories of our Italian getaway!
